Using of Skyridder - Long handle wire cutter tools in UPM Campus - Productivity Champion MPC

Skyridder is a high reach wire cutter, an apparatus design using a new mechanical technique of wire cutter such as in lam post to lowering down advertising bunting/ illegal advertisement/ abandoned wire on the lamp/ electric post, without string-pulling or lever mechanism.

1. Impact:
• 84% time saving, 71% lighter material, 50% less manpower – compare to the manual method using a ladder
• Increase the level of worker safety in all surface / obstructive conditions, ergonomics, easy to carry (adjustable) and low cost
2. Outcome :
• Produce 1 intellectual property for UPM (MOHE KPI) Copyright Technical Drawing
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and awareness campaign to Taman Sinaran Kajang KRT Community
• Tools been used at PSP, COSCOMM, BHEP UPM Serdang, UPM Bintulu, and KRT Taman Sinaran Kajang
• Participated in the National Awareness Project Exhibition 2019 (Central and Southern Zones)
• Invitation as exhibitors at the INTAN Bukit Kiara Public Service Innovation Seminar
• Continuing Wire Free Program in UPM
• Industry Commercialization Discussion - Media Smart Resources Sdn Bhd - 9 July 2019 at Cheras
