Skytider- Mounting and Hanging Display Product Device - Productivity Champion MPC

Skytider is a tool to hang and mounting advertising bunting on the lamp/electric post without using a ladder.
1. Impact :
• It is difficult to mount and hang the bunting at the lamp post under hot condition
• Level of workers safety increases in all surface conditions (obstacle on the lamp post area such as road barrier, flower trees, uneven surface and narrow space to allocate the ladder), ergonomics, and low cost.
• 55% time saving, 50% less manpower, novel idea, lightweight, portability and used of cable/zip tie instead of wire that can pollution at the lamp post - compared to the manual method using a ladder.
2. Outcome:
• Produce 3 intellectual properties for UPM KPI (1 trademark, 1 industrial design, and 1 copyright)
• Received UPM Product Promotion Grant : RM 11,500.00 to further the development of the Skytider
• Non -Disclosure Agreement with IBE Global Sdn Bhd - for the study of commercialization of tools
• Tools distribute to be use at
a. UPM Campus - PSP, RMC, Office of TNCPI
b. UPM Marine Science Center Port Dickson Negeri Sembilan
c. UPM Bintulu Sarawak campus
• Initiate Program Bebas Dawai, an awareness campaign and gotong royong to remove all the abandoned wire and debris on the lamp post around UPM campus.
• Selected in the Indexed exhibition, Nature's Yield and Wonders of Art (NYAWA) 17: Earth to Sky at UPM's Serdang Gallery - archived exhibition
