Research Group receives Bronze Award PCVS2025
- 26 Sep 2026
Our research team received the Bronze Award of Excellence at the international Process Control Virtual Symposium 2025 (PCVS 2025), held on 12–13 November 2025 and organised by the Malaysia Process Control Society (MyPCS).
Project Title:
Smart Ice Storage for Fish Sausage Microprocessor with IoT-Based Temperature Monitoring and Alert System
The project was developed by a multidisciplinary research team comprising:
Dr. Noor Zafira Noor Hasnan (UPM)
Ms. Nurul Fatihah Erman (UPM)
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Nizam Lani (UMT)
Dr. Faiqa Shazeaa Mohd Salleh (UPM)
Dr. Nur Hamizah Abdul Ghani (UPM)
Dr. Nor Amaiza Mohd Amin (UPM)
Dr. Roseliza Kadir Basha (UPM)
The project reflects the team's efforts to integrate process monitoring, IoT technology and food processing applications to support improved control of temperature-sensitive operations in fish processing.
By applying IoT-based temperature monitoring and an alert system to smart ice storage, the project demonstrates the potential of digital technologies in strengthening food processing operations and supporting safer, more responsive and technology-enabled food systems.
The recognition at PCVS 2025 highlights the team's commitment to innovation, digitalisation and the application of process control technologies in the food sector.
🎉 Congratulations to the entire research team on this achievement!
🌱📡 Advancing smarter, safer and more resilient food systems through digital innovation.
