DR NORASHIQIN MISNI
BSc (UKM), MSc (UKM), PhD (UM)
She is a Senior Lecturer at the Unit of Parasitology, Department of Medical Microbiology
and Parasitology. Her research area is mainly focused on the mosquito control and the
development of insecticides product against mosquito. In this research, she is exploring
the potential of microencapsulation in plant-synthesized nanoparticles as botanical
insecticides. She has received research grants from Ministry of Higher Education to
support her research.
She is also interested in research related to the plant sugar-feeding preferences in
mosquito to develop environmentally friendly and effective mosquito control. Besides,
she is a member of Malaysian Society of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine (MSPTM)
and a member of International Society of Neglected Tropical Diseases (ISNTD).
