PROFESIONAL
Dr. Mohd Mokrish Md Ajat merupakan calon PhD di Jabatan Biokimia dan Biologi Sel, Fakulti Perubatan Veterinar, Universiti Utrecht, Belanda. Beliau berada di bawah penyeliaan Prof. J.B. Helms dan telah mempertahankan tesisnya pada tahun 2015. Sebelum melanjutkan pengajian PhD, beliau telah menamatkan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Sains (Kepujian) Biokimia dari Fakulti Sains, UPM dan Ijazah Sarjana Sains dalam bidang Nanobioteknologi dari Fakulti Bioteknologi dan Sains Biomolekul, UPM. Tesis Sarjananya telah diselia oleh Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Khatijah Yusoff dan Prof. Dr. Mohd Zobir Hussein.
Beliau kini berkhidmat di Fakulti Perubatan Veterinar, UPM sebagai Profesor Madya dalam bidang Biokimia Veterinar dengan tumpuan khusus kepada perubatan veterinar. Bidang penyelidikan semasa beliau merangkumi dinamik titisan lipid dalam pelbagai gangguan metabolisme lipid dalam mamalia, rawatan alternatif atau terapeutik yang diperoleh daripada produk semula jadi, serta pemakanan haiwan kecil.
Beliau merupakan saintis terlatih dalam biologi molekul, kultur sel, lipidomik dan proteomik. Beliau juga merupakan penyelidik kolaborator di Makmal Perubatan dan Produk Semula Jadi, Institut Biosains UPM. Beliau adalah felo bagi Pusat Pembangunan Akademik dan Kepimpinan Cemerlang (CADe-Lead), UPM dan jurulatih bagi Akademi Kepimpinan Pendidikan Tinggi (AKEPT), Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi Malaysia. Beliau juga merupakan Ahli Jawatankuasa Strategik bagi Pembelajaran dalam Perkhidmatan Universiti Malaysia (SULAM), Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi Malaysia. Beliau merupakan penerima pertama dari Malaysia bagi Anugerah Saintis Muda UNESCO-MAB 2016 dan alumni Pertemuan Nobel Laureate Lindau 2007. Beliau pernah dilantik sebagai Timbalan Pengarah Pusat Perhubungan Alumni UPM (2024-2025).
