Ts Dr Maszura Abdul Ghafar is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Design and Architecture, Universiti Putra Malaysia. She has eight years of extensive tertiary education teaching experiences in Universiti Teknologi MARA with almost three years of industrial training experiences in the UK before joining Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2011. She graduated her Masters and Post Graduate Diploma degrees in the Robert Gordon University, Scotland in 1997 and 2000 majoring in sustainable office design and environmental design.
Her PhD research specializes on how architect, engineer and contractor (AEC) professionals’ would achieve high productivity efficiency by more understanding other professionals’ work culture with the aid of competent technology such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) during design phase. Upon completing her doctoral studies, she was invited as the National MyAgeing Research Centre’s project consultant to assist project collaboration. Her research interests also include building culture and design informatics, sustainable office architecture and environmental design. She is also an avid researcher that profound in developing new reformation for the AEC tertiary education curriculum and aligning the AEC professionals towards technological change. Currently, she is a committee member for the faculty’s RIBA and CIOBUK accreditation delegate. She published various articles in journals, proceeding and book chapters. She is also one of the editorial board for Smart and Sustainable Building Environment (SASBE) Journal, Emerald.
