Associate Professor Dr. Mohamad Aris Mohd Moklas

He is a Senior Lecturer in Department of Human Anatomy. Dr Aris’ research focuses on the analysis of neuronal plasticity and neurobehavioural adaptation in animal models of adult-onset neurodegenerative diseases. His research group studied animal models of neurodegenerative diseases from an integrative neuroscience perspective, focused on understanding how a neuronal degeneration leads to a neurochemical and neurobehavioural changes across multiple levels of analysis. His research has direct relevance to Alzheimer and Parkinson diseases.
