PROFESIONAL

Dr. Ain research interest is centered on mycology and phytopathology, which emphasizes on plant diseases caused by fungi. The works involve fungal pathogens particularly Aspergillus, Bipolaris, Colletotrichum, Curvularia, Fusarium and Lasidioplodia species that are causing destructive diseases on crop plants, animals, and humans. She is also interested in plant disease management study that uses biocontrol agents as an alternative to the synthetic, chemical fungicides that are presently used to control plant pathogens. Apart from the phytopathogenic fungi research project, she also conducts research on the biodiversity, antioxidant, and nutrient properties of macrofungi. Major sponsors of her research include Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) and Putra Grant.
