WELCOME

Welcome to my profile! I am an Associate Professor specializing in stem cell research, primarily focusing on stem cell differentiation and neural development. My research explores the complex processes underlying neural differentiation, emphasising understanding how stem cells can be used to model neurodegenerative diseases.

In addition to my work on stem cell differentiation, I am deeply interested in acellular therapy, particularly in using exosomes and secretomes derived from neural stem cells and early neurons. These bioactive molecules are promising in advancing regenerative medicine by offering therapeutic benefits without requiring direct stem cell implantation. By harnessing these acellular therapies, I aim to develop novel approaches for neuroprotection and neuroregeneration, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases.

A key aspect of my research involves investigating natural products' neuroprotective, neuroregenerative, and neuro-enhancement properties, using stem cell-derived neurons as in vitro models to understand neurodegeneration mechanisms better and discover potential therapeutic approaches.

I work with pluripotent stem cells, such as embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells, and amniotic fluid-derived stem cells, focusing on unlocking new insights in regenerative medicine. Through my research, I aim to contribute to innovative therapies for neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other neurodegenerative diseases.

Thank you for visiting my profile. I look forward to advancing scientific knowledge in this exciting field and fostering collaborations that push the boundaries of stem cell-based therapies.
