TAM Selangor Branch 78th Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- 23 Feb 2025
Event Title: TAM Selangor Branch 78th Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Date: February 22, 2025
Venue: Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Kuala Lumpur
Role: Member
The 78th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of TAM Selangor Branch served as a key platform for members to review the branch’s progress, discuss future initiatives, and participate in leadership elections. A major highlight of the event was an insightful talk on “AI in Malaysia: Present and Future” by Ts. Dr. Law Foong Li, offering valuable perspectives on technological advancements and their impact on various industries.
As a member, my role included engaging in discussions, reviewing the Branch Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements, and exercising voting rights in the election of new committee members and honorary auditors for the 2025/2026 term. This ensured the continued growth and governance of the association.
Beyond the formal agenda, the AGM provided a great opportunity for networking and collaboration. The lucky draw session and informal discussions allowed members to connect, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships within the industry.
Attending the AGM reinforced the importance of active involvement in professional organizations. Engaging in decision-making processes, staying updated on industry trends, and expanding professional networks proved to be valuable aspects of membership.
Overall, the TAM Selangor Branch 78th AGM was a well-organized and productive gathering, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among its members. As the oldest technical civil society in Malaysia, recognized under the Malaysia Book of Records, TAM continues to uphold its commitment to technological and engineering excellence. I look forward to contributing further to the association’s initiatives and future activities.
