UPM Crowned National Space Imaging Payload Champion - Mission II

Maverick04 from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has been crowned Champion of the National Space Imaging Payload Competition Mission II, held on 29 October 2025 at the Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA), Banting, Selangor, in conjunction with World Space Week October, Malaysia Chapter.
This victory marks UPM’s second consecutive year of excellence and championship in the competition, highlighting the university’s continued strength in innovation, creativity, and technical expertise in the field of space technology.
The competition was evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges from CYBERNET Malaysia, Uzma Space & Defence, NTU Satellite Research Centre (Singapore), Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA), IEEE Malaysia ComSoc & VTS Joint Chapter, and Perpetual Space Ventures. Their valuable insights and expertise added to the prestige of this national-level event.
Representing Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Team Maverick04 consists of third-year undergraduate students:

• Luqman Adam bin Samsuri
• Nur Khalilah Firzana binti Khairuddin
