Dr Hafizah Abdul Hamid
BSc (Biomedical Sciences), Master of Medical Science (Physiology), PhD (Australia)
Dr. Hafizah is a lecturer in medical physiology at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. She received her Doctor of Philosophy from the University of New South Wales, Australia under the supervision of Professor Roland Stocker in the study of Heme-oxygenase-1 and embryonic development. Her current neuroscience research work is focused on understanding the pathomechanism of cerebral small vessel disease by using stroke prone-spontaneously hypertensive rats model. She has published both locally and internationally in several peer-reviewed journals. She is actively involved in the Malaysian Society of Neurosciences.
