Public Lecture on Care Economy and Ageing Communities
7 May 2024, Serdang - The Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing hosted a Public Lecture on Care Economy and Ageing Communities by Prof. Dr. Irene Blackberry from CERI, La Trobe University. Ms. Tengku Nur Qistina, Program Officer (Policy) from the Asia Foundation of Malaysia made a short welcoming statement while Dr. Puvaneswaran Kunesekaran, Head, Social Gerontology Laboratory, MyAgeing, UPM introduced the speaker. The audience of over 30 participants from various organisations were joined by Mr. Ahmad Ikram Abdullah, Senior Policy Advisor as well as other officers from the Asia Foundation, including invited guests A. P. Dr. Anne Marie Laslett, Associate Director, CERI and Ms. Gabriela Brand, Second Secretary from the Australia High Commission Office in Malaysia.
