Associate Professor Dr Lee Khuan
PhD (Guidance & Counselling) (UPM), MMed.Sc (PH) (UM), BSc. (Hons) Nursing administration (UM)


She is a Nursing educator and researcher. She worked as a State Registered Nurse at the Ministry of Health Malaysia for about 13 years in the field of Public Health, Neurosurgical Ward and Neurosurgical Operation Theatre.

Her research area of interest includes patient education and counselling, public health nursing, nursing administration and periopertative nursing. Her professional teaching goal is to educate nurses to become competent and safe practitioners with good ethical and scientific knowledge. She believes cultural competence is a set of skills and behaviours that enable nurses to work effectively within the cultural context of a client (i.e., individual, family, or community). She strongly emphasise that students should be culturally competent practitioners.
