Dr. Hafandi Ahmad is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), where he serves in the Department of Veterinary Preclinical Sciences. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physiology from La Trobe University, Australia, completed in 2011. Prior to that, he earned his Master of Science (2007) and Bachelor of Science (Hons) (2003) degrees from UPM.

Research Interests
Dr. Hafandi's research focuses on veterinary physiology, particularly the metabolism of fatty acids and their medical applications. His work explores the effects of omega-3 fatty acids on brain function and gene expression, as well as the therapeutic potential of various natural compounds in veterinary medicine
